hell yea dmax! glad you dug it. hearing Omnium's tunes live just make me so happy. they're one of my favorites to see since they all look so fucking genuinely excited to be up there playing, especially Jukka.

I saw them at the DNA lounge in San Fran. It was great to have a stage without a barrier between them and the crowd. They were just right there. Probably like 200 people there. The vibe was divine. At one point I was rubbing my hand on Markus' guitar neck after a solo and fist bumping the guys mid song.
At one point Jukka was talking to the crowd asking each person if they would headbang. Then Markus said to Jukka: "but you arent going to headbang" and Jukka says "I'm not going to headbang? How long have I been doing this man?!?" It was funny as f
Omnium has this special sound. Like jolly, heavenly, energetic, melancholic, theatrical, masculine, death metal all rolled into one. Like power metal that has replaced the cheese with brutality and spirituality. It's so cool. You could say I'm just describing melodeath.. But this particular brand of an upbeat sound that is theatrical with refined songwriting but still fairly restrained technically in most aspects is something I've only heard them do.

I saw them in 2016 and 2018 when they only got 25 minutes and were the very first band of the night. So glad they did a headlining tour.

saw em in Brooklyn. the venue was tiny and then this 7 foot viking motherfucker ended up in front of us and completely blocked the view for the last two songs.
Dmax your story reminds me of the last time I saw them which had to have been 2018, I was at the merch booth picking up a shirt for my friend who missed the show and right when I turned around to go back to the show I bumped into Markus. I was completely starstruck and was just like "oh my god i love you" and then he motioned to his right where Jukka was standing giggling. they offered to sign the shirt i just bought so my friend really ended up with a great gift. very wholesome experience, gave them a huge hug afterwards lmao
whats your band seven? i'll give em a spin.

if you do, pls spin the version on our Bandcamp. it's a new master (not the Swano one that's a vinyl master...I wasn't actually thrilled with it) that'll be on the reissue this spring for our tour. many thanks, friends. you guys are great.

My only real gripe with this band is that they tend to put the vocals too up front in the mix. Kind of detracts from the epicness overall and also contributes to some cheese. Always love OG though.
