I'm deleting your posts because you're intentionally being an asshat. Feel free to cry about it, however.

Never heard of this band but on first listen it definitely intrigued me. I'm hearing Tv on the radio/blood brothers/early Portugal the Man in their sound. I'll have to hear their earlier albums to see how their sound evolved

it's like 1st: twinkly emo bs with some ambient stuff, 2nd: post rock/alternative based emo with less emotion

The last minute of Bastardizer just shot into my top 5 moments on this album. The rough edge to his vocals reminds me of Modest Mouse on 'March Into The Sea', and then the bagpipes are oddly fitting.

"This thread got really nasty"
You mean Chuck showed up to argue with himself like the town drunk

Anyways yeah it's weird how well the bagpipes fit into Bastardizer, especially since the band have said in interviews it was the hardest thing to record

Definitely some great vocal moments on this album. Slapstick actually has some great vocals. For me though for every Title Track, there’s a gameshark. Hoping maybe it’s just a grower of an album.

I actually love Gameshark. The weakest track for me is most likely Slapstick, it just doesn't have a hook. Heartbeats and Crown Candy are next lowest on the totem pole because they're pretty simple and built around a chorus; I just happened to love both choruses so it worked out. Everything else has been sheer bliss to my ears.

Agreeing is different than arguing so uh, yes

I've also been toying with some re-orderings, which I know alters the art, but it's just for my personal enjoyment. Right now I'm liking:

1. Grand Paradise

2. Lich Prince

3. Nearer My God

4. Trapped in Dillard's

5. Bastardizer

6. Crown Candy

7. Five Cups

8. Gameshark

9. Heartbeats

10. Lambert

If I'm not cutting anything then slip Slapstick and Won't Drown in between Heartbeats and Lambert.

I can't imagine Five Cups being positioned anywhere else in the album, halfway through that track perfectly illustrates how different the 2ND half of the album is going to be

You're probably right. Like I said, I'm just tinkering with it for my personal preferences. Album is ideal as-is.

I can definitively say I like half the record, the other half though, man, it’s gonna take some time for it to grow on me.

I like: Grand Paradise, Slapstick, Nearer My God, Trapped in Dillard’s, Won’t Drown, and Lambert.

The rest of the songs range from meh to god awful imo.
