And basically don't listen to what Lucid and Gyro are saying about it being generic metalcore because they're actually lying to you and themselves because they just want someone to validate their opinions.

@AAS: Good thing it's not trying to haha boy that woulda been a real blunder on their part had they advertised this album as being a modern recreation of a classic from like 15 years ago or some bullshit

AnimalsAsSummit were you expecting it to sound like that

Satellite Years pretty much has the same sound as the EP but expands on it a bit, Frailty of Words lacks the space stuff and is just pure riffs and a tad bit of emo at times. Also they were a Christian band at that time

Satellite Years and the EP are so vastly different that I never understood why people ever tag them together.

agreed. they both have more screaming than singing and they both feature melody with their heaviness and that's it. a lot changed in production. satellite years is leaner than No Wings To Speak Of

Well y’know I haven’t devoted much time to their old stuff lately so maybe I should listen with fresh ears lol

No Wings is primarily pretty heavy metalcore with some softer parts. Sat Yrs is primarily spacey, light leads with the heavier parts still sounding significantly spaced out and atmospheric.

some of you simply need to be more perceptive and not jump to conclusions when analyzing an opposing viewpoint. where did i say i wanted it to sound like the satellite years? absolutely nowhere. to say it lacks creativity is obviously a totally different concern than suggesting it should sound like an album that was already made.
