any sort of exposure or recognition for a band in this style is somewhat remarkable really, I mean this is fairly niche stuff
I'm absolutely no expert on what to expect as a comparison point, but granddaddies of heavy disso discourse Ulcerate have accumulated a respectable, yet not exactly gargantuan 27k. Pyrrhon are down at around 7k. Art Brain's popularity here looks kinda crazy as they're at a mere 5.6k

If you like this as much as me do yourself a favor and pick the 2024 remix-remaster by Colin Marston, dubbed Vile Luxury (Redux 1924). It gives this album a livelier, cleaner tone that suits its purpose like a glove. It's a bit louder but the "smoke veil" of the original has been lifted (I could understand why some people may think it adds to the urban decay atmosphere though). It sounds almost like a live performance in the best posible way, more upfront. It's a very different experience. Colin is a master of his craft.
