Fair enough, Ashes of Eden did it better anyway.

When they aren't buried in the mix

Album Rating: 2.5
if you learn them, you get to play them as loud and clear as you want, and it’s fun. No longer buried in the mix

going through this thread, interesting to see Sowing change his opinion after people gradually tore this album apart, I don't want to make any assumptions here but could it be that it's become embarrassing to praise this band in any capacity?

I don’t see why it would be embarrassing. These guys can write good music, nothing groundbreaking by any means, but they’re good at what they do

"Thing is, Ben is a bit of a douche and I recall mark posting something during dbd saying Ben boasted he did all the songwriting, when the reality of the matter is mark and Aaron played an important role in all the band's hit songs like so cold "
they were hired to play their parts, they never contributed to the songwriting process, Ben likened them to business partners rather than bandmates, hence why they ok'd the remix of So Cold to grab some cash without consulting Ben. Ben has written everything this band has put out since Saturate, the other guys were there to play their parts and take the dough. Would explain why in their shows pre-shakeup the other guys look very awkward and stiff. The new guys Ben cherry picked, most of them already being friends with him. They contributed to songwriting on this LP, which explains some of the more nu-metal nuances and "The Dark of You", but they all come from bands who SURPRISE sound kinda like BB. Thankyou for listening to my TEDtalk

this album would be better if they didn't completely scrap the winning chorus strategy they had going on. jesus most of these hooks are crap.

This and Dear Agony are equal imo. Phobia slays both. Still need to fairly check the rest of their discog at some point

"they were hired to play their parts, they never contributed to the songwriting process,"
Source that breaking Benjamin's founding members were just "hired guns"?
I believe mark's post to come as truth, but the proof comes from this band's sound since they left breaking benjamin; as in it's gone to shit.

Torniquet and Blood are rad, the rest is standard BB. Their first three albums are always going to be their best, Bens lyrics might not have made much sense but they weren't the recycled drivel this is

Tourniquet, Blood, The Dark Of You + BB formula but heavy (for BB) gives it a 4 for me.
