Good album but not amazing. I don't understand the reason for all the very low ratings though

Plus the fact that Michael Keene's a cunt

but that's just common knowledge of course ;]

You could write a good sci-fi book based on the lyrics to Planetary Duality, which is in my opinion an excellent album in itself.

I think many people are just bothered that this band has achieved disproportionate popularity for the genre they're playing, while their peers who are often just as good or better are doomed to obscurity

good thing beyond creation have become popular at least

Saying this is horrible just because you know that Keene is an asshole in private life feels like virtue signalling, rly

So I saw them on Saturday night after they famously screwed up at Bay Area Death Fest and then Keene was a no-show in Winnipeg.

I got there in time for Angelmaker, who oddly seemed to draw most of the crowd. Shit deathcore on record but live they sounded great.

Then like 1/3rd of the already small crowd left by the time The Faceless got on. So we're left with maybe 125 people. Despite Keene looking...haggard? I don't know. Skinnier than I've ever seen him and he looked exhausted. Despite that, and despite the crowd being mostly small, they played a good show. Keene fucked up a couple times but I was ready to give him a pass since we're all assuming he's currently kicking a major addiction. The new members were good. I really liked their new harsh vocalist actually. Good show. Better than expected. Also material from this album sounds really good live while I really couldn't be bothered to listen to it on record.

Angelmaker live is a blast, saw them in last summer slaughter. They stole the opening shows acts.

How did they fuck up at Bay Area Death Fest? Not really followed the Faceless since Planetary Duality, really. Didn't know they had new members either. Wonder if he's gonna have a different voice to the OG Derek Rydquist AKA Demon Carcass and the guy that followed him.
