Yeah AWL is a cut above Axe agreed, but axe is still a high 4.5 for me. Admittedly far easier to digest than AWL.

No heroes is fucking weak with the exception of the first few tracks and Grim

Yeah, but I'm such a big Converge dickrider that I don't think they've had subpar LP since Halo. That said, my ranking looks something like this: Jane>YFM>AWL>AtF=No Heroes>Petitioning>Dusk=WFCC. Jane, YFM, and AWL are all 5's though.

This is the only metalcore band I deeply care about these days. I think I'd go Jane > YFM > AtF > Dusk > AWL > WFCC > No Heroes > Petitioning. Never heard Halo and probably never will.

Yeah, people shit on it a lot for not being real metal (at least lots of metalheads) and there are versions of it that are super corny but there are so so so many gems in the genre too. I guess the good bands usually fall more into the "metallic hardcore" category. Converge, Rorscach, The Swarm, Gaza, Cult Leader, Coelesce, Dillinger Escape Plan, Botch, Harlots, Knut, Seizures, etc. All fucking bangers.

Yeah, I've tried to jam new metalcore. Arms and End were the most notable ones I've heard recently, but even then, I never feel an urge to revisit them. Seizures were my fav up and coming and I still think TSU is one of the best from the last decade.

I'm just saying, if you dig Converge, there's definitely more metalcore out there to resonate with for you. Just check some of the bands in my earlier comment if there are any names you haven't heard.
