I actually enjoy this quite a bit, despite the very bad production. It's shaping up to be a solid 3.5 for me.

Well having an opinion is fine but people are unnecessarily hateful in my opinion. I appreciate any artist that puts work into their craft. Even if a movie is shitty, if the people who made it care a lot about it, I'd feel bad if I just started shitting on them. It's not only here, on Metalsucks, for example they target the guy personally. I don't know, I don't think it's the BEST thing ever. But I mean I appreciate the effort he probably put into it. Hours and hours of work. I can relate to him as an artist myself. There's something endearing about making an album that meant a lot to him even with limited funds. So I have a soft spot for the album.

limited funds? he had more money than most bands on nuclear blasts' roster to make time, he simply wasted it.
from an artist's perspective, and i'm in no way comparing the quality of my work to jari's because they're totally different, i spent 8 years making my last record on literally zero budget hodge-podging together solutions to try and make it work and meticulously crafting every second of the album. even with all that effort, there will still be people who think my album is bad. it's just how it is. effort and dedication do not equal quality. sometimes you just have a shitty idea and execute it badly, and sometimes people just won't engage with what you had in mind.
