don't see a staff dib for this so I'd go for it! (doesn't mean a staff won't write something, but no one has said so ahead of time)

review is like 90% done ayy just gotta do some rounds of proofreading and ill post tomorrow. hopefully some other reviews are posted today tho so I don't look like an asshole

also it's so cool how Frank Ocean is on this album. Tyler was one of the first people Frank came out to and now he's supporting Tyler on an album much like Channel Orange...amazing

"except for a few bars, it don't sound like that at all to me."

why the fuck would he refer to himself as Flower Boy in the album title if his sexuality wasnt going to be one of the themes of the album? theres no point in denying that his sexuality is a prevalent theme, it doesnt make you seem like youre on a higher moral ground because youre not pointing it out. facts are facts and it doesnt change the quality of the music itself.

contrary to most users' belief that i'm just some unhinged gay im not alone in the confusion about this whole debacle, the guardian just posted a pretty solid write up that phrases its thoughts better than i did

[2], it's the fact that he absolutely refuses to make a clear, straight-up statement about anything, let alone his sexuality, that leaves people wondering. it's also been part of his shtick since the beginning too, so that's why people confuse it for just trolling

well he doesn't fucking have to announce he's gay. i still don't understand why this matters so much. since when do we ask for that much transparency from artists?

"well he doesn't fucking have to announce he's gay"

isn't that what the album is supposed to be about tho?

"since when do we ask for that much transparency from artists?"

since the internet age

it matters for gay people to have clear representation too

the album is very clearly about it so yea. it's not ALL about it tho but it's very obvious to tell so idk why he needs to say it publicly. and even in the internet age no artist has to explain what every song is about that's dumb.

it's not about explaining a song. it's about him
