What albums have top 10 2017 positions sealed for you Boney. Mine would be:
National
Cigarettes After Sex
Marky Mark Eitzel
Aimee Mann
Fleet Foxes
What are you anticipating could gate crash your current top 10? For me:
Destroyer
Ariel Pink

My guaranteed top ten would be:
War on Drugs
Mount Eerie
Jens Lekman
Slowdive
Fleet Foxes
As for what could gatecrash? Well The National almost definitely will. Aside from that there aren't many new releases I'm really excited for. Deer Tick have two albums coming out next week, one of those could be top 10, maybe Hiss Golden Messenger too but his last couple albums have been fairly weak. Will listen to the Godspeed album but I have to finish their discog first. And possibly the Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile collab could be great. But the only one of those I expect to make top 10 is The National.

Mount Eerie is highly likely to make my top 10 along with the Tiger Lillies and maybe Flot Toy Warning, Everything Everything or the Slowdive.
Godspeed I'm a little bored by now but they have it in them to do something interesting. HGM could make a classic, he'd need to release something where the worst song is equal to the quality of the best song in the last album to pull it off you'd think. Barnett & Vile has some promise for sure. Similar to you, I'm thinking most of my top 10 is decided.

Jens that high means you have to check the previous two which I prefer a shade.

HGM definitely has a classic in him, don't know that he'll ever pull though with it though. Haw is his only consistently great album.
Admittedly I haven't listened to Jens much recently so it may now stay at the 4.5 it currently has but yeah it definitely has a top 10 spot locked in. I've been meaning to check his others, just haven't gotten around to them.

A surprising album! Kind of lost interest in Spoon after declining returns from Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and Transference. This is my first foray back & it is gooood! The electronic sounds add to, rather than detract, from the feel of this immersive album.

It’s less dancey/synthy than those two, but still pretty ~groovy~. Definitely more like Girls Can Tell than this.
