not here to get into a discussion but saying his lyrics aren't misogynistic is...ridiculous. I mean, that's been this guy's whole schtick from the start. That being said, I still enjoy the mixtapes. Doesn't mean I can't critique that shit. And though A LOT of music has pretty misogynistic lyrics, that doesn't make it acceptable.

ok and?
|
| |
of course it's acceptable. putting morality restrictions on art is retarded.

The title track from this is fantastic, if only because it finally gave Daft Punk a number 1 hit...something they have deserved for a LONG time.

stronger was a number one hit

Not their version though, only the sampled one. So technically Kanye was the only one credited for that track.

title track is alright. false alarm isn't that bad. tracks 6-9 is the best part of this album, last third is the worst but closer is good

@climactic Get Lucky only ever peaked at #2 on the charts. It seems crazy with how much a part of pop culture they've been, but yeah Starboy is their first #1.
I kinda had to grow into it...I was definitely disappointed at first with how simple it was for a Daft Punk production, but I've since really come to appreciate it. It's like minimalist art, essentially...doing as much as possible with as little as possible.

or just good pop
|

minimalist art is what good pop is
