"You've seen what they look like right?"
They look completely normal lol
And these guys are still fairly relevant in the mainstream

"Anyone else hear some major Bruce Dickinson influence in Matt's vocals on some songs???"
I heard more of an Axl Rose influence with his vox

Axl rose lmao ew

If anything can be credited for with their last album was the astonishingly splendid production. Wish more mainstream rock was produced without loudness war like Hail to the King was

This deserves a listen

httk does sound pretty good

This was actually pretty fun. Musically, it's pretty spectacular throughout the record, too bad Shadows' vocals sound shot on so many tracks. I think this album would've really benefited from some editing. Most of the tracks did not need to be as long they were.

Yeah HTTK was produced pretty well for their standards
|
| |
Shadows has done plenty of Axl Rose/Bruce Dickinson/James Hetfield inpersonating through the years.
|
| |
The best this band has sounded in a bit minus Shadows atrocious vocals. But, both 'God Damn' and 'Creating God' are pretty bad

Album cover is kind of cool.

The average rating is no longer tied with Waking The Fallen, all is good with the world now

God Damn is so catchy that it redeems itself for how cringeworthy it should have been.

Waking the Fallen is the last thing that I cared for from these guys. I know City of Evil is really popular here and everywhere else, but it was a huge letdown for me. I almost feel bad for all those suckers that got the bat skull tattoo early on.

Waking The Fallen is by far their best imo, they were never able to recapture that brilliance

If Waking The Fallen cut like 2 songs and was reordered to have IWSYT (both parts) as the closer it would be a much stronger album. It's such a great album, but it feels so unnecessarily long.
|
| |
I can get on board with that. It's still my favorite and honestly their debut isn't way far behind. Not sure why so many people here think it sucks.

I agree that IWSYT part 1 and 2 should've closed the album, but I think it's just the right length for how many well done songs there are. This album however, does not justify its length

Honestly, I think Exist and The Stage are far too long (especially the former) but everything else is fine length wise as far as I can tell. For Waking The Fallen, let's take Second Heartbeat for example. Really great song that totally cold have been cut by at least 2 minutes.

I like Second Heartbeat a lot so I can't really agree with that haha. When they play it live they do that tho
