should probably mess with the tempos of some of those songs and see if they sound like each other sped up/slowed down heh.

band is overrated to fuck

embrace the shug

tbh i can't stand any of their stuff apart from DEI which is alright, I might as well chec this out anyway

DEI but not Chaosphere?

@sint if DEI is the only one you dig then you probably wont like this

Album Rating: 3.0

Nice dig talons I did not check it out yet. Heart of Oak was sumptuous

Album Rating: 2.5

Yeah this new one is just as good, might get even better with more listens.

Album Rating: 3.5

Could not disagree more with this review.

Album Rating: 5.0

This album goes hard asf and I'm not even a huge Meshuggah fan.

It's weird that staff reviews for this, Devin, and Insomnium were so low yet the first Opeth review was a 4+

Album Rating: 5.0

I wasn't a big Meshuggah fan until recently either, but yeah this is fantastic.

Album Rating: 4.0

Remember when Fredrik wrote songs? Those were the days.

Honestly this album isn't bad at all but it feels like a Haake solo album, there's so much focus on rhythm and the guitar riffs kinda blend into each other. I think ever since Catch 33 their songs have become much harder to differentiate and I have a feeling it's because Fredrik's oddball ideas have had less of a presence.

Best album since Catch 33, easily.

Album Rating: 3.5

this is for sure very focused in rhythm

Honestly, this is already up there with Chaosphere with me after a single listen. Can't believe how fucking hard this rips god damn. Gonna jam this all day.

agreed

"this is for sure very focused in rhythm"

I dunno, ain't all Meshuggah songs focused in rhythm?
