Arrangements make AND break this for me. On the one hand, they're so unpredictable and stupid they are super fun, on the other... man. They are god awful.

@starless used to be (been 3 years since I've been in a band)... had a couple of years of formal training. But that's besides the point. Arrangements on this are hilariously bad but s'cool if you think they're good. I certainly do not hate them.

hilariously bad by what measure, in terms of the melodies or just instrument choice? because by a measure of just pure musicianship and songcraft they are generally beautifully done imo. closing track is a great example, as is strafford apts

musicianship is never brought into question, as you say, it's more than well excecuted... The issue here are the more than questionable choices for instumentation and production. I can't wrap my head around what the hell he tried to do of it.
