How can you even say this is a grower album? Has this even been out a month? lol, it took me years to get into some bands

"Transdermal Celebration is phenomenal, possibly even better than the original. Dat solo"
TRIGGERED. Not better than the original, and the solo is basically a carbon copy.
Still though, happy to see a Dev/Ween connection (White Pepper was cited as an influence for Terria btw). Great musicians.

Nah its got the bombast the original always craved. It's an archetypal devy song really, you think he'd have written it: huge, catchy and uplifting; it just blends in perfectly and it works much better as a closer than track 3 or whatever it was on quebec. And you can't deny the solo sounds way better on Devys setup, it's a monstrous sound

higher is the only song here i enjoy tbh

I do wish he would have switched the last 2 tracks and had his original song close the album instead of the Ween cover.

I really love how this turned out I'm impressed. Just an epic, fun listen. The title track is the best.

Really not too excited to actually listen to this. From the 3 songs I have heard, only Failure impressed me.

I like it. Stormbending is phenomenal, as is Failure. Some of the tracks, however, just don't really do anything for me like Stars and Offer Your Light. The others, just aren't really memorable for some reason. Also, gonna catch flack for this but I feel like having Truth as an opener again, and a certified cover jam as a closer kind of seems like a cop out although I'm sure that's not the case and he has his own reasons for choosing them. It's still damn good by anyone else's standards and is better than Sky Blue, but I just feel like he's exhausting the whole grandiose choir + Anneke thing. Hope things sound more novel in the future with his next double album. The symphony sounds like it could be crazy. Who knows what the other album will sound like but at this point it's almost guaranteed to have open c tuning, anneke and choirs.

I like RVP's interpretation of Truth. Since tempo is a bit slower on here, the feel of the 6/8 beat comes off as groovier this time around.

I think he's the MVP on this album

It really is a grower, at first I didn't give a fuck about some of the songs, hell I even kind of disliked Transdermal Celebration, but now I jam that shit.
