If they're working on another project of the same caliber as this it'll probably take a couple years.

Homecoming was fucking excellent so I'm pumped for more new music
|
| |
They're done again lmao.
I guess the instrumentalists are going to continue under a new name and probably new members but the vocalist is done with music.
|
| |
FUCK
|
| |
Dang ok I read the message and it's not so bad. New music incoming but it will have to be with a new vocalist and a new name and I imagine we'll be waiting a bit longer now as they're not just going to completely recycle what they had written already for this project if I had to guess.

aaaand they've split up again, Gareth (apparently now going by Gaia and they/them) left and they don't want to continue under this name anymore after that

Xfing try checking the thread before posting next time. Enjoy your fail.

Well Gareth is a CoD player so that checks out lmao. He has really cool vocals but I don't think he's irreplaceable. I'll definitely be checking out what the other guys put out next.

There's a fb profile "Gaia Mason" with lots of weird and over-dramatic posts, no news about leaving the band though. I didn't know he was a prick. Then again, until yesterday I didn't know he was trans either

its sorta cringe
i really hate what prog metallers think is deep
its always so overblown and ridiculous
always biting off more than they can chew with some big ol concept album

now that ive got to the end of this im feeling a sort of 2-3 rating. need a couple more listens
compositionally this has a few good parts but my god the vocals and lyrics are awful
|
| |
Remaster out on Bandcamp. I've only listened a bit so far but it's definitely more detailed, stuff is standing out that I didn't really notice in the original.
And yes, the lyrics are cheese as fuck and I hate them lol. Actual vocal performance slaps though so whatever.

Glad someone else notices how emo and cringe these lyrics are, like the lyricist is trying to show they're such a poet, and don't forget super sensitive
|
| |
Yeah Mort I also cringe at over-the-top theatricality and a focus on storytelling. Once you have spoken-word interludes, that's a nail in the coffin for me. I liked a lot of these guys' tracks though.
