Yeah, there are some instrumental acts that don't warrant vocals, but with this project it works so well. And the nice thing is that Jamie can find people who compliment the style and feel of each song without feeling pinned down by one vocalist and sound.

Yea everything about this is absolutely brilliant and potent. Despite Daniel reaching for notes he can't hit in his chorus. He's no Bjorn xD

I thought Tompkin's vocals were spot on. Sure they're a bit over the top but I love how they kinda stretch and soar over the melody. It really helps portray the emotion of someone pushing to become something more.

I have no problem with Daniel hitting those high notes, I think they fit really well

I prefer the falsetto high note Dan does in the first chorus (mainly cuz Dan's falsetto is to die for), second chorus you can tell he stretches for it but he hits it. I just love how he writes vocals, his phrasing and cadence over the instrumental is awesome. He fits with every project he's done, his Zeta stuff sounds cool af too.

Man I can just hear Ian Kenny all over Skyline, themata vibes all over that song, what vocalists would you guys want for the next album?

Einar Solberg, Paskal Jakobsen, Mikael Akerfeldt, Mike Duce, Jonas Renske, Michael Barnes and the guy from Theocracy would be cool

They're apparently interested in working with Bjork at some point in the future. I think that would be a killer guest spot.

Very excited for the guest spots on the next record, still a shame they can't really do a song with Einar from Leprous

Why can't they do a song with Einar?

One thing I wonder is whether they'll use all new guests or have like a recurring cast of characters with some of the guests returning multiple times over the course of Earthside's career. Not sure which I would prefer – all new vocal spots, or a cast of guests that grow into the expanded Earthside lineup/family. It'd also maybe be cool for live shows/festivals if they ultimately have a guest vocalist with whom they can perform who did 3-4 different features with them. What do you guys think?
