Essence I did see that and edited it. Since then I've ended up changing most of the first paragraph entirely.

Did you know that, upon choosing that username, years after it would be the official name of a 6th gen pokémon?

I've gotten so many comments about my username being related to pokemon that I've considered changing it, only I can't think of a replacement. TalonsOfFire is a nickname my friend had for me in middle school, and is now most of my internet usernames.

ppokémon is not a shame, pokémon is a badge of pride!

Nothing against pokemon, just never got into it and never played it to my recollection, for whatever reason. I like my username regardless, and besides I've gotten advice from older users that changing your name isn't worth it, one reason being that lots of users won't know who I am anymore.

hoping I'll like it a little better if I don't touch it again until properly jamming the CD later this week.

Same. It's a shame. I don't feel the need to obsessively jam this like I did with Sunbather.

Anyone else find the end of "Luna" underwhelming? It has the best metal opening, followed by that gorgeous shimmering passage, then it transitions abruptly into a bland post-rock climax. It's disappointing because it would be my favorite track here otherwise.
They should have spent more time on the record, that's my biggest gripe. On Sunbather everything felt intuitive, you're never pulled out of immersion by an awkward transition or a head-scratching passage. On this record the seams in the songwriting are all too clear.
(still a 4.5 hehe)

honestly i feel like the post rock climax of luna works, but it doesn't work as well as it could. the song is definitely one of my favorite deafheaven jams, but the end feels like they built and built but there was no proper release
