Can't wait until he jams The Angel and the Dark River and Tales From the Thousand Lakes for the first time haha.

Hmm, that should wait for a while. Quite the jump.

"And because 15 years from now people will be on here commenting because of this album. My nephew just got into metal because of Fear of the Dark and this album."
This brought a giant smile to my face, very happy that Madien is bring a new generation to the table even now. And ye that to MDB would be a giantic jump haha. Also manosg I don't know if you like it but The Mortal deserves at least one listen, with your best ear/headphones and undivided attention.

Time is paramount, agreed guys. Give it a couple of years and he'll be jamming The Cry of Mankind like crazy haha.
Evo told me about The Mortal a couple of days ago iirc. Gonna check it this evening for sure, since two of the guys with the best taste on here rec it!

Am I the only one who ranks AMOLAD amongst their best?
Also, you rule manos.

Oh my... Thanks!
Until then, you can make your nephew love Mandylion. Shouldn't be too hard.

@Pleb: The only thing I know from AMOLAD is this hilarious comparison: https://youtu.be/LQC0YuY3cIE?t=57m4s
@manosg: Hope you enjoy it as much as us (also thanks for the flattery, whopper taste too ;)). Also here's the translated lyrics with notes: https://sites.google.com/site/lyricsyndrome/lyrics/the-mortal

I just love the concept and the winding passages on that record i.e. These Colours Don't Run.
Only downside I guess is the thin production.
Thanks dude m/

Can anyone resist Anneke? The answer is no.

Indeed. Will never forget the first few times I jammed Mandylion, mind blowing.

I should check more from The Gathering, Mandylion rules. Also surprised you haven't jammed After Forever's Decipher Manos, you'd probably really dig that.

You'd definitely dig that. I also need to jam the last three Anneke albums, as I only heard the essential ones.

I'm sure I have checked something by After Forever but I can't put my finger on it. Thing is I was very skeptical towards 2K bands that played that style of music like After Forever, Epica, post-Enter Within Temptation, etc. So I've missed some stuff and only checked them sporadically. I need to change that at some point though.

Epica's last one is pretty much the best it can get for that style done in these times. I realy liked it.

You are not alone, fellow Pleb. I put it in their top ten, definitely.

I find with a lot of Maiden's recent output, there's a lot of information to take in/process. This one is no exception. It's taken a while, but I have warmed to it after a few spins.
