The album was excellent overall. The Red and the Black needed to have been shorter by a few minutes though.

The band is older than us.

Through the years they have delivered some of the very best in metal. 16 albums in, 1000s of shows later when others burn and fade maiden decide to do a double album. The death knell was clanging and yet they've offered a piece of work that is fresh, exciting, inventive and above all else rocks. Maiden are one of the only bands of old who in this internet age are forging music that inspires and harks back to the days when magic was in the air, bands were a force and music was amazing all the time. Classic.

Anyone else find this boring as shit?

A 1.5 seemed too harsh to be genuine but I'm glad I'm not alone. I love me some Maiden but this was such a chore to get through.

Definitely too long, agreed. The review had me pretty hyped too and then I just nope'd all over the place when I put it on

Could have trimmed like three songs but overall I really enjoyed it tbh

All the longer tracks like Red and Black, t/t, Empire are fucking tops

the shorter tracks let it down a bit

I only listened to it once so I will try jamming it again some time over the next few days to see if I like it a little more with time
