This album is absurdly good, but it's nonetheless troubling listening to something written and performed by a guy who endorsed sacrificing homosexuals to the devil.

>stop listening to dissection

>homophobia disappears from the face of the earth

same thing with nsbm, i listen for the music, not the message. being able to freely express you opinions is a glorious thing.

its ok to be uncomfortable with what an artist believes and also to listen to their music anyway. if i felt the two were more interconnected i would probably not listen to this at all.

Hence why I still listen to and enjoy Dissection--separating the artist from the art and whatnot. Regardeless, certain events do put the band's body of work in a less-than-positive perspective.

No point having a pair of rose tinted glasses on when meddling with black metal and those involved.
