i guess the formula to this is infallible; chelsea singing her eery vocals, a lot of static and guitars, folkloric references in the lyrics, quiet interludes with loud pounding from the drums when needed; it's just song construction is definitely kinda faltering here

it's like someone took Witch Mountain and threw some electronic distortion on top of them. you can't be heavy and electronic, it just doesn't work.
