The singles aside from Catharsis are horrible yea but everything else is just different degrees of decent. Triple Beam really sucks tho. Album is a hard 3. Nothung terrible or amazing. Sput of course will trash it tho.

I guess my expectations were comically low because surprisingly I'm not hating the new album. A couple of really boring songs here and there, and the whole thing is way overlong and bloated but there's some decent bangers. It's a solid 3/5 on first listen.

I actually really dug Triple Beam... I'm sure that puts me in the minority. I couldn't follow all of the lyrics, but I really like the aspect of actual story-telling in the music. It's like the one thing I generally enjoy about rap music vs rock/metal.

Tbh they could have done way worse. Bastards is the absolute worst and I thought the whole album was gonna be on that level, but its not. Like Art said, its bloated, but thats the case with every MH album.

Bastards is definitely a stinker but from what I'm hearing most of it is pretty decent. A lot of the hate is from triggered people yeah.

Really unpopular opinion incoming... I don't hate Bastards, or any of the singles for that matter, within the context of the album. I was actually let down by Heavy Lies The Crown, the song that everyone hyped up the most. I think I'm gonna be totally on my own in regards to this album. *jams Triple Beam*

For me the worst part of the album is on the very first song when Robb screams at me to 'put my fucking middle fingers in the air'. And wave them like I just don't care... Love Robb, but sometimes he has an 8 year-old's idea of what badass is.

He does that on the opener? Feel like he did it on two of the singles already so that'd make it three times minimum. Good writing.
