oh man, this still holds up
having the close ep as an appendix is cool too. keep you's not a very long record, after all.

This album has grown a lot since its release, imo. Will have to check out that EP

They released another new song called Arizona which sounds fantastic.
Don't know why they didn't include it on the album.

i do think some of the outtakes (the deluxe edition bonus tracks / the Close EP) were definitiely as good (if not better) than some of the album tracks but evidently the band didn't think that they fit on Keep You. I'm not one to argue; i think the album plays pretty seamlessly from front-to-back.

i still love this album a shit ton. first half is so killer.

heard this is way better than the lack long after
|

heard this is nowhere near as good as the lack long after
or their debut for that matter
i used to love this band, havent listened to a single one of their lps fully though
|

"still haven't found a song by them i liked as much as i'll get by."

really love april off of this though. mesmerizingly beautiful

it and "lesions" are a great combo on the album. i always feel a little disappointed when "old jaw" comes on cuz i don't think it lives up to those two, but "repine" picks up the slack.

old jaw's fucking amazing, what do you mean.
arizona is pretty bad but the other b-sides are awesome, trying to integrate them into the album somehow.

Both '895' and 'Dancing' could have easily taken the place of some of the back half of the album. 895 pretty much stops me in my tracks every time I hear it.

This album is pretty great. It took me a while to appreciate it because upon first listen I thought it lacked the emotion of the previous two, but upon further listens the formula here works well. I hope this is the final album of the sad tale that encompasses all three of their albums.
