$23 for a CD? You can get most vinyls for less than that.

18 euros, so about 16 quid? I suppose they're making them that price because they're trying to exploit the fact that only 500 copies were made

Which is also stupid. I get that this is art and they want the CDs to be special, but come on. Make some special editions that are expensive and limited if you want exclusivity, then distribute normal versions for the rest of us poor saps. Don;t jut cut out everyone else that wants to throw money at you, but just not that much money. :/

Looking on Avantgarde Music's website, and the other CD prices look reasonable. On the other side, it's no Ne Obliviscaris or Wintersun at least

Well Neo's prices get jacked up because of the ridiculous shipping costs from AUS. But now you can get some of their stuff from Seasons of Mist for way cheaper proportionally.

I think the thing that irks me about this the most is how pushed back the vocals are. With the cleaner production, it would have been better if they were more prominent, but instead it just leaves me wanting

I like the low mix vocals, makes the sound like just another instrument, something else that's dark and gritty and aggressive to go along with the guitars instead of just vocals layered on top of everything else.
Still absolutely slays btw.

missing the point, vocals were never a huge part of their music

Yeah it's perfectly understandable if someone downloaded it based on rating alone, not knowing what they were getting into. Still one of my favorites this year though

I knew it was an ambienty black metal style, but it wasn't anything like what i expected when i first heard it.
