Their best record since The Resignation (it being their best) imo. My 3 favorite songs from this one are Wide Open, Meow! Meow! Space Tiger, and Penguin Marlin Brando. The whole thing is great though.

It's my opinion, ass. How the fuck does that make me high? Sensitive bitches on this website who can't take an opinion that is different than theirs. First two records are actually pretty good.

Resignation>This>Halfway>Progress>Battle>Mandala

Fuck me for thinking different, right?

I just get tired of fuckholes like you who can't take a different opinion without thinking some sort of mind altering drugs were taken..

Seriously though, people are going to think differently as to what you think. Also, I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't shove my head that far up my ass.

"Nigga you high" was meant to be taken as a joke. 90% of my posts are jokes and meaningless dribble. You should probably take the stick out of your ass if you actually intend to stick around

I noticed you came back and thought it a bit odd! I've been seeing lots of movies lately and spending time with friends, which is odd for me since I prefer being alone. I got a new jobbie too. Yippie ki-yay. How art thou Roweth?

JustinKing's list inspired me to comment because it was too good to ignore, he makes the best lists ever

I have a whole week between exams and while not studying I've been doing literally nothing, so why not come back for a bit and chat?

What movies have you seen recently? I saw Gone Girl twice and thought it was fucking fantastic, Fincher never disappoints. And what's the new job? gimme deets

I saw Gone Girl and Box Trolls. Gone Girl was a solid 8/10 and I think Fincher is in the top tier of the best directors around today but not my favorite from him. Box Trolls was like a hard 9.5 though. I also watched Escape From New York the other night and will be watching Terminator sometime soon when the mood strikes. Love me some old classics. I got a job as a cook at some restaurant. I'm a prep cook/manager in training at some pizza joint but I hate it so fuck 'em

Agreed Fight Club and the Social Network and Se7en are all better but it still ruled hard, I felt so manipulated and I loved it

Box Trolls does sound like a lot of fun, and Terminator m/ m/ m/

Are you going to pee in their soups and fart on their pizzas Tyler-style?

Dragon Tattoo and Zodiac are my two favorites from Fincher. When the twist in Gone Girl happened, my stomach was in knots for the entire rest of the film and it made me so anxious to see how it was all going to play out lol

That's just crazy talk. I'm an amazing worker!

Zodiac is pretty good but a bit too long

Also it always really bugged me how the scene people tend to hype as being the most tense in the film aka when Jake Gyllenhaal is in that creepy guy's basement is also the scene that has nothing to do with the rest of the film whatsoever

Like, its a great scene but the rest of the film stuck so strictly to realism and built tension off that that it seems like such a pointless move to suddenly switch to unexplainable footsteps upstairs and horror-movie type shit, its weird

Haven't seen Dragon Tattoo, should change that

Every single scene with Neil Patrick Harris and Rosamund Pike in the boathouse was complete and utterly nerve-wracking until THE THING finally happened and I was like thank god that's over

Yeah, sure you are. So amazing that you're still not sure if you killed that one pizza guy or not, hmmm?

I can understand that but it's damn near a masterpiece in my eyes. Dragon Tattoo is phenomenal, so you should get on that. The use of CGI in Zodiac and Dragon Tattoo is fucking mindblowing. All of the backgrounds in Zodiac are just screen screen, every bit of snow falling in Dragon Tattoo is CGi. So many subtle things that just prove Fincher is king.

I know exactly what you mean about NPH. I kept trying to decipher if he was supposed to be a good guy or he really was the creepy rapist he was said to be. Like maybe he was too crazy for the crazy bitch.

And that was different. I was under the influence of psychedelics AND I was off the clock

I just don't get why he did that. Gyllenhaal and whoever that other guy was are clearly talented enough actors that the scene would be tense enough with just them being there and the question of whether the guy was the Zodiac or not. That's more than enough to make a palms-sweaty scene. Unexplained creaking footsteps is just such a random cliche to throw in there

I'll watch it on a day that's not today when I don't also have an exam :-)

There was nothing he explicitly said that made him so creepy but there were all the subtle implications of what he said and the way he looked at her that was just so goddamn unnerving. I never thought NPH could play a role like that so perfectly

Its still honestly one of the funniest stories I have ever heard in my life

What made him so creepy to me was the way he seemed to imply that she was going to stay with him forever and that he had no intentions of "letting her escape like last time". His subtle implications of raping her coupled with the way he would look at her just made him seem like a guy that makes your skin crawl.
