Not by much, gah I'm just so fucking disappointed seeing as though I dug the two singles.
Diamond in the Witch House is such a middle finger to the listener too. Its like Mastodon went 'you know what, lets ditch this poppy charade for one song and showcase something that actually resembles Mastodon'.

Are you guys only getting hq now?

Jammed the first single Chimes, while I'm waiting for it to dl. It sounds like it could be off The Hunter, except it's not even catchy which makes it kinda pointless :/

Chimes sucks yeah, that song represents almost everything I hate about the hunter in one song.

Motherload is so sweet, prime example of why Brann should sing more.

The choruses save some of the tracks from being completely vapid tbh.

The tone feels way too clean at times, def needs more 'umph' behind them.

Maybe I got the transcode rip I don't know, will search for a pure 320 leak if I can and see if my view on the production changes.

The production is fine imo
I also really like the sludgy throwbacks to their Leviathan period without the record actually being that heavy per se
