Yeah the experimentation could have been better, it's pretty basic on this. They said they want to continue with it, so they'll probably experiment more on the next album.

I don't like the bass drum and snare to be replaced electronically in a band setting. Nothing can beat the organic drum sound, but electronic flourishes around the foundation are cool.

Sounds like an Anathema album and that's ok. Electronic songs aside hopefully they do something a little more different next

time. Still enjoy this though.

It's a nice album indeed. I hope they try something different with their next album as well.

Nothing beats Judgement. Wish they would use some of that with their newer style. WS was definitely better but still a bit

overdramtic and that definitely carried over here. Did you try Judgement yet talons?

WS was their most overdramatic, and tbh their only albums that haven't been are Judgement, A Fine Day to Exit, a Natural Disaster and bits of WHBWH

I don't find WHBWH to be over dramatic. Maybe cheesy at times but not over dramatic. Judgement however felt completely genuine, sad and heartfelt front top to bottom.

Yea A4 is also one of their best. More frustrated than sad though.

A4 is great too. I like Serenades more than most and that would be second to Judgement.

I was listening to the new Archive disc, "Restriction", and if someone has a need of something that sounds

like Anathema went completely electronic it's their disc. Just skip the first track because it's s**t the

rest is enjoyable

They're quite famous, more famous than Anathema to be fair, and they tour worldwide regularly and seeing

that nobody on sputnik knows them nor even rates them kinda shocked me.
