I agree with the issues with song structure (Chuck's style is rather copy paste, just Intro-Verse-some riffs-chorus-solo-verse-some riffs-chorus-occasional closing riff), but I can't see the issue with the production. It fits the melodic and clean style perfectly.

I got this album two weeks ago as my intro to Death. Really love it so far, I disagree about the production but I can understand your point.
With regards to all the controversy over this (extremely well-written and thought-out) review being flagged, I'd just like to say that typically it's the controversial reviews that can emerge as the most well written criticisms of the album. All of the other reviews are fine for what they are, but this is by far the most interesting of the reviews and has the most potential for a good discussion of the album. Props to the author!
