To the last post.... MCR is pretty much in the same vein as taking back sunday.. as for coheed, they are more creative, progressive at times, and technically more challenging(sp?)...

I do have to admit that I prefer their old album more - it's more real and raw. MCR don't sound at all like Taking Back Sunday - Taking Back Sunday suck c***!!
They do have good lyrics (which they wrote themselves) you just don't understand them!!
Maybe next time people will post negitive comments on a band that actually sucks!!

Maybe their lyrics arent the best, but they do a great job with the music aspect. This cd is epic...

Hardly a classic though.

Yeah, MCR are good at what they do... making catchy pop-punk/post-emo songs about not so catchy subjects. Their guitar work is kind of bland in some spots but some of the songs really shine anyways.

I love thier lyrics... I think that's what this album was about, not the music... plus, they have a lot of cool little tweaks that make it sound cooler

There aren't very many albums that I've listened to where every song brings something to the table. This is one of the few exceptions. I even like that interlude, which I think is just a tool used to perfectly set up the Venom song (which is one of the best songs on the album.) A solid effort to say the least.

Best track (and only track worth mentioning being considered as 'hard') is "Thank You For The Venom." I'm Not Okay is a fun song and Helena is as well. I own this album and thos are the only songs I have ever been able to hear without skipping... ever.
Thank You For The venom I guess was worth buying this album (though my gf loves it so that great as well).

seriously? I envy you. I can't skip over any song ( I love them all too much) except for Ghost of You( Ican't stand the begining, so I just don't listen to it) and the interlude.

And he's right. My final mistake purchase before I got into good music. Im Not Oay is good, as is Helena, but the rest are garbage, save for Thank you for the venom. The drummer plays the same beat every freakin song.
