I never understood the purpose of having an objectivity rating, it's utterly useless

"fearless lyrics"

Those aren't fearless, they're recycled prototypical "rage against the machine" teenage-angsty punk lyrics that have been perpetuated since the 70s. The substance is actually the same as what entitled kids with Macs have been saying at Occupy rallies a few years ago. And there's a reason nobody took them seriously.

The production is pretty sketchy on this.

wolf, potentially to butler's credit, i don't think has any delusions to the vacuousness of his

lyrics. i think he just writes things that he thinks sound good. the only people who really buy into

the pseudo political messages are the overzealous fan base.

but in terms of lyrics even butler himself has said that he picks some lyrics based on how they sound, not what they mean, sorta like jon mess does

and we all know how awesome jon mess is as a vocalist
