Too many notes, why can't they just like, be a reggae band or something, 1/10 at least the art was kinda pretty.

This is definitely their most technical release though, and it can be difficult to handle. Doesn't surprise me that it is their most beloved but can also be the most divisive.

Their other works might sit better if you've never checked. Aathma is basically this same aesthetic but toned down and merged with the intensity of Shin-Ken

This was my first from them, haven't checked the others. I've heard Core was fairly well-received but not much about the rest of their works, not sure which to listen next.

The "Take On Me" version of that meme is the pinnacle though

This was an excellent album and the follow-up drops tomorrow! Is there a better Andorran export? ;)

The new one is pretty good, but again it will be divisive. It's hard to decide how it Stacks up

Singles just feel like a more aggressive version of this, like the band brought back the intensity of Shin Ken and merged it with their tech death/prog leanings. They're trying something new, per usual, and I'm here for it.

Yes. And at the same time there are like 30 minutes of tracks with no harsh vocals at all. It's a pretty sweet album. The subtle brilliance of Consciousness pt3 took a few listens to show itself but it's a worthy follow up. My third listen of the album was for sure the best so far.

The drummer said he has no idea how he managed to play Anabasis pt2 and he hopes they never play it live haha

Considering how much softness and ambience the rest of the album has, right now I'm really feeling like Leap of Faith should have been another fast heavy song. Or at least the second half of a longer song with a brutal first half. Idk, just like Aathma, it'll take me awhile to fully wrap my head around this.
