Your opinion holds no sway on mine. The destructive attitude you have will get you nowhere fast. I liked the album, you didn't. Come back when you're ready to justify your opinion without being an utter asswipe.

Well, I uphold my aforementioned offer to discuss the album. Rather new to this site, it'd be nice to meet somebody who's capable of constructive conversation.

You just have to ignore Pit, he wants you to argue back. That's what he feeds on.

To respond to you, TBH, I'd say this album falls into a lot of current trends in the progressive metal/djent scene. It really wants to be different, as one can surmise from the title track, but ultimately most of this leaves me with that feeling of "oh, yeah, this has been done before." I do think it's well-done for the most part, but I'd like to see some more originality from these guys.
And the lyrics can be pretty damned silly, too.

Erra is still the best band in the progressive/djent scene imo.

I do really like Erra. They utilize cleans exceptionally well, too.

Cloudkicker and Chimp Spanner are by far my favourite 'djent' bands

I see where you're coming from Omaha. I don't listen to a lot of djent influenced bands so maybe the uniqueness of them is unique to me only. I think my biggest problem with this is the cheesiness at times, which I should have expanded on a tad more in my review...
And yeah, Cloudkicker is fucking awesome.

Northlane's second effort not only avoids the much dreaded sophomore slump, but also proves the be one of the strongest metalcore releases in recent memory.
