Haha yeah. Cyborg Bette, The Face, Gone Cold and Crucial Velocity are my favorites at the moment, but the record is really good. It makes me go back and listen to their entire catalog.

This guy has a really interesting vocal style. I thought it was strange at first, but now I think its very fitting for this type of music.

I'm gonna let greg answer that one more fully, I've only listened to "Blast Tyrant" and "Robot Hive/Exodus" besides this one and they're all up there with Clutch's heaviest albums supposedly.

I will say based on those three albums, they're remarkably consistent at kicking ass

I think a 5 is easily justifiable.

Everything below a 4 is pretty suprising

Everything below a 3 is laughable.

"How is the rest of their stuff?"

They're quite consistent, but admittedly their discography has a couple of records I'm not crazy about. Definitely check out Robot Hive, Blast Tyrant and Pure Rock Fury if you want the same sort of energy as Earth Rocker. Their self-titled is also really relevant as it helped to shape stoner rock in the mid-90s.

Clutch would seem a little out of place with the rest of those bands.
