Literally baffled at how people can like BMTH and hate Periphery......wtf is this logic?

I don't like Periphery because the singers voice does my tits in. Plus there's nothing special musically either. My opinion though.

I haven't heard many bmth fans criticise the "new direction"

I can't see anyone complaining about the direction, because it's for all the right reasons. lol

Metal is metal. Its not a massive diversion from listening to BMTH to listening to Periphery. But whatevs.

Fair do;s. It's a love/hate relationship that people have with them. I personally love em'.

I think the best band to describe Periphery is Protest the Hero. I don't like them either. lolz

I have to agree with Fish though, regardless of whether they are both in the metal cat, it's like comparing Metallica to BMTH.

Periphery and BMTH don't sound anything alike though

Periphery's instrumental debut pwns this IMO.

"They write different styles of metal"

What im sayin is that its not like gettin someone who listens to All time low to listen to Periphery. They are both metal bands. Whether it be that BMTH are metalcore and Periph are prog metal.

Metal is still there, screaming, melodies etc.

Periphery are a pretentious showy band like Protest the Hero or BTBAM. BMTH are in a completely different metal game.

I don't understand how you can't see why someone would like one and not the other. They're different bands, they have different styles even if they fit under the same umbrella..

haha! I don't really care for the hate on BMTH. What pisses me off is people hating for following the fashion of hating.

"I don't understand how you can't see why someone would like one and not the other"

I'm just sayin it would be EASIER to introduce some1 to Periphery if they already like metal.

Hell I showed a friend BTBAM and his fave band is Pantera. He loved em. I wouldn't dare show BTBAM to some1 who's fave band is All time low.

Thats my point.

I actually really liked this album. Hadn't listened to them much before other than a few songs here and there, and kinda

just dismissed them as shit, but this was a nice surprise. A lot of it sounds like Vheissu-era Thrice to me- that chorus

from "Go to Hell for Heaven's Sake" in particular- sometimes it gets a bit derivative, but for the most part I mean that in

the best way possible. Agree that Antivisit is trash. Comes out of nowhere, and makes them sound like the trash they

were about to transcend. Overall, though, I like this album quite a bit, and your review as good- though I have to disagree

about House of Wolves being bad, for me it's the highlight. pos nonetheless.
