Truant has grown on me so much, I always loved the ending but the first half used to feel pretty subdued. Now it's pretty much another perfect Burial tune.

Yeah I get the four tet guessing to an extant just because he's collaborated with him plenty, but seriously as much as I love four tet's tunes - seriously they're great - you'd have to wonder why, if he was in fact burial, he didn't just make BETTER music. Because even though I really dig four tet, burial is just so clearly on another plane. And when they collab it has such an obviously different aesthetic and style. There's no way burial is four tet, there's no way burial is kode9, etc. etc. Burial is just his own self.

'Truant' is at times a brilliant mess, but it's a mess all the same with a great idea but an execution that is somewhat lacking. The build-up is too much, and the payoff is cut short. 'Rough Sleeper' is the business though
