Never listened to them before today, but starting to dig this shit. Why are the vocals so far back in the production? I mean they kinda suck but it would help if I could hear them.

they definitely don't suck IMO, and they are perfectly placed tbh, you must listen to lots of music with vox that are waaay to high up in the mix

MMX is pretty damn good but I'm not sure which I enjoy more. I like the darker tone of this album a lot. Never heard the first two albums which is due to change soon.
