It makes me so happy that John can still write amazing songs. He truly is one of the best American songwriters today. This album feels different than other MG albums, AND I LOVE IT. John has found a way to make great music and stay dynamic.

@Adrian I would say so, even though post-All Hail West Texas Mountain Goats remain lyrically able-bodied per usual the production and an emphasis on a 'poppier' aesthetic has a tendency of diminishing my enjoyability-
