There's so much to love here, but In Dark Places and Red Sharks have risen to the top for me.

I think I said it elsewhere, but I'm such a fucking sucker for heavy riffs with one guitarist playing cleans underneath. In Dark Places is maybe my favorite example of this ever. This like....ONLY exists in the fucking 80s. Dokken was great at it, too.

I've been trying to find a good live performance by Midnight and I mostly....can't. I don't necessarily care that much, but I can't really hang with people saying this dude is one of the GOATs.
Its gonna be controversial, but CJ Snare could have fronted this band and done everything Midnight does here, except better in basically every way I can think of. And dude was (and kind of still is) a monster live.

Yeah I feel that. And there's only one other person on this site that I'm aware of who appreciates him, so the chances of that statement going over were (knowingly) pretty slim.
That said, I stand by it. CJ was / is one of the best live vocalists I've ever witnessed.

Prolly my #1 favorite metal album of the 80s. From “In Dark Places” onwards to the end, just godly.
