first listen, most of it sounds absolutely wonderful but kinda falls off for the last couple of tracks

falling ashes doesn't really need to exist

falling ashes is kind of a weak closer...

It has some nice aspects, but something about piano and slowdive doesn't mix well for me on that track, and the repeated melody isn't the strongest either

yup unfortunately that one didn't do anything for me during any of its eight (?!) minutes :/

which is okay cuz go get it works much better as a closer anyway so im allowed to skip it :D

I wasn't expecting this to sound so desolate, lonely and ambient. Holy shit what a fantastic album.

I'm planning to check this band over the next week or so, already started with their first three EPs. Is it weird that I'm more excited to hear this than I am Souvlaki?

i think it's unfair to compare the two tbh, i love them both the same for different reasons

souvlaki has some of the best melodies ever, and this is just a ethereal paradise instrumentally

that's a good point. souvlakis cool but what they're doing here appeals to me a lot more. they're pretty different tho

At this point it's hard to say which one I love more, but I'm think I'll prefer this one along the way. Souvlaki is just quality shoegaze/dream pop perfection but this is probably more my style.
