Nah boi his melodies here much better imo, plus his voice sounds a lot stronger, and those goddamn harmonies boi they are scrumptious

used to not really dig these guys but this has deeply entrenched itself into my listening habits over the last few months. ive always fucked w joel's voice so the biggest hurdle was ahren needing to grow on but hes tremendous on this, in part bc his harmonies on here are abSURDLY good my god
bondi st blues for my fav but all the songs from flowerbomb to the end are reasonable contenders

Bro HELL yes, this album is incredible man and it's them at their best. Ahren's best choruses are on this, Joel is a monster, such an amazing atmosphere throughout the whole thing. These guys were so special to me, shame they dropped off so hard in recent years (tho there are songs here and there that are still pretty good)

yea this is defo the best ive heard altho i dig youngbloods and ocean a lot too. they really tapped into something special here tho record is so consistent and uniform and as you touched on that atmosphere throughout is so absorbing. lyrics are powerful as fuck too some of these songs hit me deep in my fuckin heart man. my amity journey will probably not venture far beyond ocean, for while the songs ive heard off their last one (opening stretch and catatonia) were alright ive also read theyre like the only good ones so ill probably pass on the rest lol

fr such a solid run, plus im not out here tryna kill the good will i have towards all these bands that used to rule but everybody says dropped off hard (altho that sole premise puts a definite cap on how much i can get into said bands but w/e such is life plus thats on them for getting bad)
