Discouraged Ones is an album of depression. You can say that depression is lifeless, sure, but there's still MUCH more passion and emotion in Discouraged Ones.
There's no emotion in this new album. And man, the riffs are so dull. This is the same guy that wrote the amazing riffs in Black Erotica? This is the same guy that wrote the crazy Death's Design? What the fuck happened, Anders? Listen to too much KoRn? I know that as soon as Katatonia listed that they were listening to nu metal on their website, their music started turning to shit.
