It's Potsy, he has a history of being somewhat wrong in these matters.
yeah that tends to be the general consensus amongst shit users with insipid taste who have 22% post rock in their pie chart

I generally like reverb. But that's in psychedelic rock, not folk. We'll see.
reverb is fine, but everyone in the recording industry knows that DROWNING your album in reverb is generally frowned upon.... the guy is 4 albums deep he should know better.

I haven't downloaded the leak yet, trying to be patient.
Dark Bird Is Home is so beautiful, considering it's about his ex wife, feels so raw lyrically.

damn he's divorced? not a surprise considering the age that they were married, though.

the last ~100 of your comments have been you logging in just to find me and say some snarky bullshit once a month (coincidence?) ever since i criticized your terrible taste or whatever it was ~ year ago. ive never seen someone stay so ass chapped for so long in all my 7 years of sputniking tbh. so maybe reflect on the hilarious irony that accompanies you when you make comments like that on your ever so personal internet vendetta against me for hurting your feelings over 300 days ago.

So I downloaded the leak... I didn't last long holding out.
First listen was disappointing.
Then after multiple listens I am really coming around to it - yes the reverb is slightly overkill. The added instrumentation is pretty nicely done and the whole album fluently grooves.
There is 1 or 2 songs that haven't clicked with me yet, but otherwise I dig it.

Fucking gold bro. If it makes you happy for once in you're strange life to think that I literally go out of my way to log into this site just to find some guy I'm never going to meet every single month then be my guest : D

Little Nowhere Towns, Darkness of the Dream, Timothy, and the title track are some of his best songs to date. After a few listens, I'm not really hearing these strings of weak songs some are mentioning. Overall, I'd say it's better than There's No Leaving Now and might be better than the debut.
