This is fs weaker than pretty much everything between Rage for Order and Promised Land but a whole hell of a lot better than anything after that
Did you jam the EP?

A 2.5???? Man if you don’t like this you probably won’t like Empire which is my second favorite behind OMC

Nah impossible not to like Empire. It’s like their black album but better.

That rating hurts my soul. It's literally America's answer to maiden in '84. I've always thought if the name on the album said Iron Maiden instead it would be heralded as one of the GOATs.

It kinda took a while for me to warm up to it, I'll admit. That said, I was nine and had nothing better to do lol. The vibe on some of these tracks is just sooooo good. Roads to Madness hinting at the grandiosity of Mindcrime, No Sanctuary is like a primer to Rage for Order, and some of their best headbangers with Before the Storm, Child of Fire and Prophecy (which isn't on the original tracklist so you'd have to check out on your own...I think we all just include it as part of this album at this point), arguably one of their best tracks. Tate is like a monster with no restraint, incredible but his maturing on the next four (!) is what made him the GOAT.
