I’m not being hyperbolic in the slightest when I say Laura Palmer’s Theme might be the greatest piece of music ever written for TV
I’ve never heard a song so perfectly capture the essence of not only Laura herself but the tone and mood of the show as a whole
It’s so ominous, but it builds and builds and builds into this beautiful and tragic melody, a brief crescendo, then quickly returns to the brooding darkness
A masterful work
