No, Robertsona, I only trust publications that aren't rumor mills and only report facts.
Go ahead. Misconstrue that any way you want to.

Ke$ha sucks. Who the fuck started this shit anyway?
|

This could go down as one of the most fucking retarded conversations on Sputnik.

Well that flushes Ke$ha's plans for a novel series based on her lyrics right down the drain.

ok maybe i missed some part of the discussion but WHY DOES THAT MATTER
if your point is just that nobody would publish "tik tok" as a piece with Literary Merit then yes, great, agreed, sure

yeah, I'm an idiot for implying it takes talent to become a respected established writer in the literary industry.
Yes. Yes, you are an idiot. That has absolutely nothing to do with anything that was being discussed.

like maybe 1% of artists have lyrics that would work well at all as standalone published pieces
|
| |
Ya know what's funny? The only person to "confirm" Kesha's SAT scores was herself. I haven't found one piece of
documentation on the internet that confirms it, nor is there any other person in the world that's confirmed it.

Psssh I already discussed that in the Nicki Minaj thread. Catch up, qwe.
you win?
my teacher is a published writer who knows his stuff when it comes to the art of creating literature that would pass for true talent. if kesha was an unknown and tried so sell her lyrics based on the words alone she would be laughed at.
how does this matter
i mean in the context i assume people who aren't retarded judge her by her lyrics shouldn't have to be Yates or anything
it's pop music plus she seems pretty intelligent from the interviews etc i've seen and im pretty sure she went to columbia so i think she knows what she's doing. not saying that's the be all and end all of the matter but christ it kinda shows she's not the vapid partygirl or whatever that people so badly want her to be idk

Reading this is like getting a backhand across the balls
Or having a fire lit under your ass

her lyrics prove otherwise. Could be forced on by the label though

okay sorry gabe cuz i know you brought it up but since this bitch is stuck on it i'll just go ahead and say that it doesnt matter at all what she got on her sats (although take note that her SAT scores are pretty much the one piece of info in that article about herself that NPR reported not as something she said but as a fact of the matter. i don't think they would fuck that one up)
what we're talking about here, and what gabe brought up the SAT scores to bolster, is that she's clearly not writing these lyrics on a surface-level "WOOOO i like partying and that's all i ever DOOOO" level; if you actually read the article you'll see that clearly she has more self-consciousness than that and is willing to think about what she's saying and the image she's giving off
she didn't go to columbia though lol

@FrankRedHot:
NPR: What's that? You say you made near-perfect SAT scores? Well I'll just put that in my article/radio show. What? Confirmation? Haha no, we don't need you to show us any of that; we'll take your word for it.
@Killerhit:
You say that like you don't like either of those things.

do you guys think nirvana's simplistic and even "dumb" lyrics are symptomatic of kurt cobain's lack of intelligence or thought about what it is he's doing
serious question
|
| |
Lol NPR interviewed her, and she told them. NPR's not lying, but she could be.
Regardless, her music is made for brainless idiots.
|
| |
Robert I have never liked nirvana so your question is dumb
And I was a heavy grunge fan back in the 90's
