Nickelback did change. Their first two albums were actually decent mainstream rock records. After that every song is either a. something about raunchy sex with a really bad riff. b. an absolutely horrendously sappy or shitty ballad or 3. some gay, laughable "statement" song about world peace. They suck, and I defend them more than most.

seriously. Their fans have become about as real as unicorns and leprechauns, yet they're raking in cash. haha. I don't get it.

To be fair I do know one Nickelback fan, which is even more surprising when you consider this is the UK we're talking about. He also has Bon Jovi and Sheryl Crow CDs in his car, and I'm pretty sure I remember finding a Britney album in his room once, so music isn't exactly his strong point.
