Interesting choice. Loving it so far for sure. I'm sad he brought back the tinnitus inducing beep between the beats during the first four tracks though. Aaaah, didn't like that sound on Narkopop (?), don't like it now!

I was less happy with the record than I would have liked, but I still enjoyed it. It's GAS, of course I would enjoy it 💚

It's on every track too. Big pity. Plus it definitely isn't my fave beat he's ever done.

I don't think I'll be revisiting it often, prefer the original versions.

I'm not even sure of that any more. If I liked it at all.



For instance what he has done with Königsforst 5, which is a stunning piece originally. I really disliked what he did with it on the new one, Track 9.



By merging it into one big track with a similar (the same?) beat throughout the entire thing (regardless of the annoying tinnitus beep), he took away from the quality of the individual pieces I feel.

also idk if it's spotify but the transitions between the tracks consist of fadeout and abrupt restarts which i find very meh - if you build a suite, make it sound like one

Yeah, happens in my download too, which I got from the official Kompakt store because I ordered the CD version. So I imagine it will be on that CD version as well. Super strange decision. Doesn't work at all.

Ok so since I ain't as big of a fan as you Trifoboo, I'm ok with the "he took away from the quality of the individual pieces I feel" part

however, tinnitus beats + transitions kinda ruined it for me

Haha, I'm only now thinking that if he had just made a true best-of, with exactly the same tracklist but without adapting the individual tracks, I would have enjoyed it more probably... It's 100% possible too, to do that. Ok, maybe I would have thought it was a bit lazy, but still.

liking the new album quite a bit. if you buy it off Bandcamp you get a "continuous mix" of the record that fixes the transitions, it's a lot better.
