nah they just have post-rock influenced riffs and are dynamic without having distinct post-rock parts and separate screamo parts. it isn't a mish-mash of the two sounds, they just have one sound really.

although I definitely prefer the more solid sound that they didn't have on Old Pride
generally I just wish they'd have more songs like LQ

This is so crushingly good.

After a few listens I realized how much I hate the monotone screaming. No longer interested in this album.

Band is exactly as monotone on disk as they are live. If it wasn't for CTTS's lively performance I would never go to another screamo show again. Pretty lame for the most part.

La Dispute > Pianos > Defeater > Touche Amore (Never listened to MDAM)
Just my opinion of course.

La Dispute > Pianos > Defeater > Touche Amore
Ranking is correct, and MDAM would be last too probably. They aren't bad, but they don't compare to any of the others.

Pianos > Touche > La Dispute (although La Dispute has the better songs out of them and Touche)
haven't heard Defeater

I'm not a fan of Defeater. I'd say it goes Pianos > La Dispute > Touche > Defeater.
