The fucked up thing is that now i can no longer see these songs as life affirming or hopeful. I know a lot of the lyrics are bleak as fuck, but i guess him still being alive and pushing through it and being humorous about it gave them a positive spin for me. Now that hes given up, theyre just haunting.
